Sevgili komşularım;

Uluslararası Esenyurt Halk Dansları, Müzik ve Sanat Festivali’nin 2’ncisini düzenlemenin heyecanını sizlerle paylaşmanın mutluluğunu yaşıyorum.

İlçemiz Esenyurt, sadece ülkemizin en kalabalık nüfusuna sahip değil, aynı zamanda Türkiye’nin en zengin kültür mozaiğine de sahip ilçesi konumunda. Toplumları geçmişten günümüze biriktirdikleri kültürel öğeleri zenginleştirir. Bu yönü ile Esenyurt’umuz zengin bir kültürel mirasa sahip. Bizlere düşen bu zenginliği korumak ve geliştirerek geleceğe taşımaktır.

Bu bilinçle hareket ederek kültürümüzü korumak, tanıtmak ve farklı kültürleri tanımak için ilkini düzenlediğimiz festivalimizin katılımcılarını ve kapsamını genişleterek ikincisini düzenliyoruz. Bir yandan 40 ülkeden katılımcıyı kentimizde ağırlamanın gururunu taşırken, diğer yandan ülkemizin ve katılımcı ülkelerin geleneksel sanatlarını sizlerle buluşturmanın mutluluğunu yaşıyorum.

2023 yılının; “Âşık Veysel’in Vefatının 50. Yıl Dönümü” nedeniyle ülkemizde ve dünyada UNESCO tarafından “Âşık Veysel Yılı” olarak kutlanmasına karar verilmiştir. Esenyurt Belediyesi olarak düzenlediğimiz festivalin ikincisini ünlü halk ozanımız Âşık Veysel’e adadık. Onun felsefesinin özü olan “barış ve kardeşlik” ruhu ile 40 farklı kültürü bir araya getiriyoruz.

Uluslararası Esenyurt Halk Dansları, Müzik ve Sanat Festivali ile hem güzel zaman geçirecek hem de sosyalleşerek birbirimiz ile olan bağlarımızı kuvvetlendireceğiz. Düzenlediğimiz bu festival ile aynı zamanda farklı kültürleri keşfetme ve yakından tanıma fırsatı elde ederek farklılıkları ayrımcılık değil, zenginlik olarak görme duygumuzu geliştirmiş olacağız.

2. Uluslararası Esenyurt Halk Dansları, Müzik ve Sanat Festivali’mizin gerçekleşmesinde emeği geçen herkese sonsuz teşekkürlerimi sunar, ülkemiz ve dünyamıza ayrımcılığın, ötekileştirmenin değil anlayış, hoşgörü, birlik ve beraberliğin hâkim olmasını dilerim.

Dear Neighbors,

I am happy to share with you the excitement of organizing the 2nd International Esenyurt Folk Dances, Music and Art Festival.

Esenyurt, not only is the most populous district of our country, but also has the richest cultural mosaic in Turkey. Societies are enriched by the cultural elements they have accumulated from the past to the present. In this respect, our Esenyurt has a rich cultural heritage. Our duty is to protect and develop this richness and carry it to the future.

Acting with this awareness, in order to protect and promote our culture and to get to know different cultures, we are organizing the second edition of our festival by expanding the scope and the participants of the first one. On the one hand, I am proud to host participants from 40 countries in our district, and on the other hand, I am happy to bring together for you the traditional arts of our country and the participating countries.

Due to the “50th Anniversary of the Death of Âşık Veysel”, the year 2023 is decided to be celebrated as the “Year of Âşık Veysel” by UNESCO in our country and in the world. As Esenyurt Municipality, we dedicate the second of our festival to our famous folk poet Âşık Veysel. We bring together 40 different cultures with the spirit of ‘peace and brotherhood’, which is the core of his philosophy.

With the International Esenyurt Folk Dances, Music and Art Festival, we will have a good time and also strengthen our ties with each other by socializing. With this festival we organize, we will also have the opportunity to explore different cultures and get to know them closely, and we will develop our sense of seeing differences as richness, not discrimination.

I would like to express my endless thanks to everyone who contributed to the organization of our 2nd International Esenyurt Folk Dance, Music and Art Festival, and hope that understanding, tolerance, unity and solidarity will prevail in our country and our world, not discrimination and marginalization.
